I had two different days of contact with LD Smith for a dig into my plumbing line. Phil and Tim, and their team were all very professional and timely. Phil was especially considerate and thorough, explaining honest options and professional recommendations to me. I never felt rushed or pushed into making an expensive decisions. It was a breath of fresh air from a previous company I experiences only two weeks prior who had done poor work to my plumbing line and who provided poor customer service. Phil, Tim, and their crew did solid work, and I would most definitely utilize them again in the future.

L.D. Smith is great. I know that whenever I have to call them, I’m gonna get a job well done. I’ve also been fortunate enough to get the same crew on multiple jobs. Which has been wonderful. The crew, Phil in particular, has been a pleasure to work with. These were not easy jobs, digging new sewer lines to replace old and collapsed lines. But they made it look easy. Most bizarre plumbing experience? “We recently had a homeowner who was having some drainage problems in their home which were symptoms of a clogged plumbing vent. Upon getting on the roof, I found the tail of a squirrel sticking out of both plumbing vents coming through the roof! The squirrels had tried to get in to the vents over the winter to get warm, and had become stuck. It was a messy cleanup!”

I always thought plumbing was just toilet or sewer issues, but we work on bathrooms, kitchens, utility rooms and gas lines. No one wants to worry about a backed up toilet, but it is nice to know we can take care of it so you can focus on what really matters to you.”

Is there a customer experience that made you feel helpful? I was working on a new residential house when a customer approached me and asked about putting in a manifold water system. I informed them that doing a manifold system is doable and a viable option, but there was a cheaper and more efficient way to constantly have hot water. I informed the customer of the re-circulation line that runs to fixtures to allow hot water to get to all fixtures quick without wasting water. The customer was pleased with my suggestion and decided to go with my recommendation.
